RYA First Aid Course aims
While many students on the RYA First Aid Course may have some prior first aid knowledge, this course is designed to teach first aid techniques specifically for boaters. Having this essential knowledge could be the difference between life and death if an emergency happens on the water.
If you are completing a certificate of competence exam or need to commercially endorse an RYA certificate then you will need an in date first aid certificate.
What elements of First Aid will you learn
The 1 day RYA First Aid course covers the essentials of first aid and also specialises in topics that are particular to boaters such as conducting the recovery position in a confined space, CPR, cold water shock and hypothermia, seasickness and dehydration, obtaining medical assistance, advice by VHF and helicopter rescue.

No pre-requisites are required for this course.
