Portsmouth Marine Charters is a family run charter company in the Solent, offering skippered RIB, Motor Yacht and Sailing Yacht charter. We take pride in offering a fully bespoke charter package tailored to your requirements.
We are based in Portsmouth. This location is perfect for getting out on the waters of the Solent, and provides many options for day trips to the abundance of beaches, harbours, rivers and estuaries it contains. We can arrange pick up and drop off points anywhere in the Solent, and customise the day’s itinerary to visit the places you would find most interesting.
Our boats are our livelihood so we maintain them to the highest standards possible. They offer comfort and luxury as well as exceeding the safety standards required. We have available for you a luxury 40ft motor yacht for up to 10 people on day trips or 6 people over night, or our high speed 6.5m RIB for up to 5 passengers or our 48ft sailing yacht suitable for up to 5 guests for day sails or overnight trips.
The Solent hosts some of the world's biggest and best yachting events, and we love to take our guests out to watch these events from the best place possible, on the water! If you have friends or family competing in any events in the Solent, or you are an avid fan, why not make the day more special by watching from the front row seat our boats can offer.

Motor Yacht Charter
Imagine arriving in style for lunch at Cowes, sunbathing and swimming in Osborne Bay, having a front row seat for yacht racing, and watching magical sunsets from the water. These are the things dreams are made of! Here at Portsmouth Marine Charters we would like to help your dream come true.
Our luxury 40ft (12m) motor yacht Gabriele offers an amazing day out for up to 10 people, or comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people. It is made by Azimut, renowned for their luxury and comfort, yet still providing a thrilling ride with twin Caterpillar 300hp engines. It has a fly bridge where you can enjoy the view while skimming across the water, a saloon with comfy seats for you to relax in, and if it’s all got a bit too much you can have a nap in one of the two bedrooms. It is also equipped with a galley kitchen and toilet facilities so everything you need is onboard.
It doesn’t matter if you want to watch the yacht racing off Cowes, celebrate a birthday, party on a stag or hen do, or have a team building day with your work mates. We will help make your event a truly unforgettable experience.
If you would like the luxury and comfort of our motor yacht, and the speed and exhilaration of our RIB we can arrange a combined charter of both. This works especially well using the motor yacht in a beautiful anchorage as a base for socialising, drinks and food, while your guests take it in turns for some high speed fun in the RIB.

RIB Charter
Feeling the wind rushing through your hair and holding on as the adrenaline kicks in when you hit 40mph, this is what RIBs are about! Why not let us show you what travelling at high speed over the ocean feels like. If going fast isn’t your cup of tea, don’t worry we have extensive knowledge of the Solent to make sure the trip is exactly what you want. We can take you to award winning beaches, Michelin starred restaurants, or show you the maritime history that is abundant in this area.
Our 6.5m RIB strikes the right balance between safety, speed and comfort. With a 140hp engine it is capable of traveling at over 40mph, yet it has comfy and safe seating for up to 5 passengers and a skipper. Our skippers have all been driving boats in the Solent for many years giving them a thorough understanding of how to have fun yet stay safe on the water. They also offer a wealth of knowledge of the local area, ensuring that we can make the day perfect for you. The RIB is fully equipped with all the equipment needed to make your day out a memorable and safe experience.

Sailing Yacht Charter
There is nothing more satisfying than having the sails full of wind pushing the yacht along gently while you relax in the cockpit enjoying the journey. Or if you prefer you can tweak the sails, getting the optimum performance that the boat will allow, while the land and sea rush by with only the sound of water slipping along the boat as the sound track to your day. It doesn’t matter if you enjoy gentle cruising or performance sailing, we can help you have the perfect sailing experience to suit your tastes.
Our 48 foot sailing yacht, called ‘Celeste’, is a Hallberg Rassy 46 and is ideal for families or groups of friends to explore the Solent. It can take 5 passengers with a skipper for day sailing or overnight trips. Our skippers are all RYA Yachtmasters and have a wealth of experience sailing in the Solent. They have been to all the places you might want to visit so can act as guides to help you choose an ideal destination. ‘Celeste’ is fitted out to a high standard. The cockpit is comfortable and large enough for the whole crew to relax in, and down below has 3 double cabins, 2 heads, a galley, nav table, and large saloon.
